As a successful innovator himself, he helps to commercialise these innovations by identifying and evaluating opportunities, target markets, strategic partners and capability requirements.
His experience spans academic and applied science, industrial manufacturing and both early stage and established business ventures. A former research scientist, he has a background in the pharmaceutical industry. Since moving from the world of multi-national corporations, he has worked in start-up companies and he continues to work in this area as an advisor and mentor with start-up businesses developing and launching new products. For Kieran, the real excitement lies in getting things going – painting a big picture of where the future might lie, determining the first steps to be taken and making connections with people who can help. Once up and running, he’ll be in the thick of things, and if not, he will be close by helping those who are. Whatever the new initiative, his goal is to ensure its outcomes offer value to all concerned. When he’s not helping others to make things happen, he can be found pottering around in his garage woodworking (he’s currently building a hutch for a foster hedgehog) and making items of furniture. He also enjoys keeping fit at the gym and running (well, enjoys it most of the time anyway). |
